Hiraeth Surf

Hiraeth is a longing, a pull towards something that feels like home. For us, that is the sea, no matter the weather.

We have been surfing the South Wales coast for over 20 years. We are not the best surfers and we don't chase the perfect waves in tropical destinations.

Most days aren't perfect, they are wind, rain, grey skies and cold water. But we still go.

There is a special feeling about paddling out when most people stay at home, something about that quiet walk back to the car.

Hiraeth Surf was born in 2025, on the rugged coastline of the Glamorgan Heritage Coast. Not for perfect waves, but for the in-between days, the messy sessions, the quiet lineups, the winter paddles, cold hands and cold feet.

We are for the every day surfer, the working parents, the ones who surf for fun, and the ones who surf because they want to.

The sea doesn't care how good you are.

Our aim is to supply high quality dependable surf apparel for those cold and windy sessions.
